I like it! Liking the ominous background too, with the gray bits sweeping in like a foreboding mist, and the detail with the knots... feels like you might not need to point out what the different parts are. :) But overall, looks promising.
Thank you, this fog especially for Post. Should it also be in animation? Although I do not know why fog on the stairs...

Yeah if you could that'd be pretty cool! Fog definitely builds atmosphere.
It will not be in the base itself, but I will do it later.
That fortress wall and spikes better be taller than they appear, or I doubt it would be able to keep out that huge insect that the team fought in the previous episode. ;O
Also, seeing as how Keni is there, I'm liable to think that a few others are also seeking refuge within. Sorry if this might be spoilers, but does Mejson and his group know about this place? I doubt it since they probably would've gone there as soon as they could, but it's hardly a crime to be curious. xD
They built fortresses from what they had... They didn't see this monster, so they aren't aware that there could be such a threat :P
Mejson and friends didn't know that someone built something along the way... They only knew where they were going to go - to the laboratory...
