I think my dear brother that we need at least two new people to voice acting in Reduce 3 (I see Don Pawelo, Bott*, Stuk, Mercik, Bill, Maly). We have many heroes, I think we need to increase number of deaths :D

Ok, my dear brother :P

But I'm not sure that there will be people who will be able to make it, so much :) I think we need 6 new Voice Actors :P

Yes, you have to wonder who is "under the knife" XD
Certainly not important characters.

I think that you can safely kill (in some terrible situations):

- Diablo (narcolepsy) - nobody's figure,
- Bill (does not stand out) - nobody's figure,
- Stuk - broken contact,
- Mały - broken contact,

so don't feel sorry for these characters and no one will be sad (won't be offended).

@Cyberdevil, @Animetion24, what do you think about it?

@MariogD @Mejson @Cyberdevil

Your decisions on these are as good as mine, since much of what's been told is news to me. :U It's a shame Stuk and Maty have gone, but there's no time to fret when we want Flash to shine further before December happens and it loses support. :/

As for new voicing talent, I could throw my hat in for one or maybe even two characters beyond Delsin. I'm not certain of my vocal range (still quite an amateur in voice acting) so it's possible they will resemble each other pretty obviously, but if you'd like for me to give a shot, I could be in once you send the lines over for me to record. :)

Is there any official news that he is losing support? Or are you just saying that, @Animetion24? It seems to me that there is a constant number of people here who create, exchange views and support. It seems to me that we are independent thanks to NG Player and there is no need to worry about the outside world and its stupid decisions. We will stay strong forever and never give up!

We will see, my friend :)
If we need to in the future, you will do so; nice to you offered. Thanks!

@Cyberdevil is busy again unfortunately :/

Plasmarift really a re-occuring name in the list of credits there. :) Looks good. As for new VAs: is there ny deadline for when new ones need to be in place? As soon as possible? Would be interesting to hear @Animetion24 too. :)

Regarding Flash, at least on NG it seems guaranteed to live on, with both NG Player and Ruffle intended to replace it, making it possible to play Flash content without even a plugin, but everywhere else on the net... it's a shame. Good thing Reduce found its way here though.

Plasmarift accepted request to both project before you - Cyberdevil XD

Yes, it's great so far :)

When it comes to 'New VAs': finishing Reduce 2 - Sumary (1 month), Reduce 2 - Pass of Time (12 months - to put it mildly, because maybe longer, differently), planning Reduce 3 - Part I (it will probably take a while because many new things have to be taken into account, probably from 1 month), so... 1 + 12 + 1 = 14 - optimistic version. So we have time to find new people for VA. :)

Maybe so, but I don't want to force the boy too hard. :P

I knew :P :P :P
Ruffle? I must admit that I have not used it once and I do not know how it works. xD

Well... everywhere else? NG is like 'Noah's Ark' - whoever didn't embark by himself, goes to the bottom :P It reminds me of StickPage.com, who ignored me - because I reported to them (before NG), and they said they would speak up, and never they didn't...

Yes, it's good that we got here. :P

Though you know I think I was the one who initially linked him to your earlier VA request too. ;) Not that I'm complaining here, just noting! Good voice choice.

Oooh, a full year at least? Good to know. I can start looking earlier, but it'd probably be good with some list regarding what voices are needed then.

Yupp, mentioning more so for @Animetion24 ! The official github probably has the most info regarding how Ruffle works: https://github.com/ruffle-rs/ruffle

...but basically NG are systematically loading more and more submissions with Ruffle as it grows to support them. You can test it on: https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/59593

Maybe if you have the NG Player activated it'll open in that instead though. Not sure. In the end I hope we'll still have both the Ruffle version and the original available, so people can still choose. What hardware you use might still have an impact on how it works.

Hell yeah. XD Though wonder what's happening with StickPage lately, forums don't seem to work, they haven't updated the site in a while... did you ever upload Reduce there too? Or is it all manual selection, by/added by staff? Either way would be cool if they start using Ruffle too.

The one and only these days. :) Used to be so many alternatives...

Cool, it was such a joke :P You are all great!

Yes, optimistically speaking... but it may take longer. Yes, time flies and you can search sooner. You have to think about - who is to be in Reduce 3 - Part I. I think that it is fast: Cyber and Bott* and someone (from the mentioned list), who will not be a pity - will die. But I think we need to think about it / discuss it. Maybe in the future I will add such a poster (if nothing is more interesting be).

Yes, @Animetion24 is very capable! All in all, I have a question for you @Animetion24. Why do you use a different nickname in your profile and a different one in our animations?

Ruffle - I tested it quickly and it is surprisingly simple, but I just have a fondness for SWF :P By the way, in the new Poster you will see what I came up with XD

No, it just opened - without the NG Player :)
Yes, and from Reduce 2 we add the EXE version, which (after downloading) will always open in the system. Speaking of 'File Dump' - is there a chance for me to get more space?

It's all good. :) And thanks.

Mmm. Yeah that sounds like a good idea, till that poster discussion then!

Ruffle still uses the original SWF file though, it's like a container for it, similar to Flash Player but in a different language/without a seperate plugin. Same though, I'll miss the original player when it's replaced everywhere, the right click menu and all... even if this seems to have some real benefits. At least personally it seems a lot lighter/faster than the original plugin.

Nice, on my way...

And good to know! With the .exe version at least viewers will always get the original that way, no matter what they do with how submissions show on the site. :) As far as I know the only way to get more space is by becoming a supporter, you'll get double the quota then, but it's possible they might give you more if you ask the staff for it; have a reason... haven't tried that myself. I'm totally out of space. :P Started replacing some old uploads with just textfiles that link to the files on my own server instead to free up some space. Don't want to remove anything I might've linked to somewhere...

Cool, we'll make a decision poster for new characters in the future (but cool, that's not a "burning" problem).

And when browsers turn off Flash support, it won't hurt Ruffle? Probably not :P
I will also miss Adobe Flash Player... but this is life and we must look to the future. I'm proud / happy to use NG Player. :P

Yes, good old EXE! Well, when you gave (as a gift) me a Supporter, I didn't notice that I had more space.

The point is that when the user clicks the link and moves it to the NG file, he fully trusts and has no resistance to downloading... and if it will be a Google Drive, it may be different.

Whom should I ask? I don't know if I'm known enough to rule myself :P Would you ask on my behalf? If it doesn't bother you, of course.

Sounds good. :)

Noo, that's what Ruffle's here to fix! :D The whole problem with Flash dying. When browsers stop supporting the plugin, and it gets more difficult to run Flash files via the browser even if you as the user want to, then this totally circumvents the problem. When it's built-in the browser can't stop supporting it. As long as it keeps supporting the programming language itself, which it doesn't seem will be a problem for a foreseeable future at least... nothing's really eternal though, maybe dependencies of the future won't be like they are now, maybe they'll find something more convenient to replace JS with too...

For sure, looking to the future!

Ah it should've made a difference for a while, but it might not last. Do you maybe still have that extra space though? Is it 500 or 1000MB right now? That's true, as long as they trust the user it does feel a bit more secure when hosted on NG. I download a lot of files off of Google Drive and similar though. If that's the only way I don't think it'd be a bad option. Mediafire, Mega and pCloud are pretty reliable services too if you need more space. Or if you'd like a subdomain on my own site? I have some free space there. Could set aside a gig or so for these.

Hmmm I don't really feel confident enough to ask for myself either though. They're already giving out so much, unlimited space with regard to project uploads otherwise.

This Ruffle sounds complicated, but it's important that it works. :P
We'll see what happens in the future :)

It is possible that I had... but honestly I don't know because I didn't pay attention to it then :P
Now I have exactly: 512MB, I think a little small :/
Can you find out why they have given so little space for NG?
Exactly, because I want them to feel safer :P
Got your site? Subdomain for me? I would be honored :) Great!

Okay, sorry... then ignore my asking.
Yes, exactly for projects: SWF - 250MB, and for others: 650MB!
All in all, it's good because recently our projects have 100MB (even compressed) XD

Yupp, Mike's a wizard. :) Leave it to the man who managed to emulate DOOM in Flash to break new boundaries...

Well the reason why is probably because space is expensive. Imagine ten million users x 512 MB... that's a lot of server capacity! I assume they want to prioritize regular content uploads, where even a single submission can take a few hundred MB. If the dump didn't have a lower limit people would probably abuse it, and start using it for material not related to the site at all. Which they still can. But at least there's not as much potential to start ripping audio or video and sharing it like this without a bit more space... we're also one of few places without captcha or other download limitations for this stuff. It's all direct and unlimited still. Considering everything here is free I'm really very appreciative they offer any space at all, but with a bigger budget I'd assume they could expand that space too. Feels like it's probably not something they really have the resources to expand right now. Corona times too, economy's low for everyone.

Well, anyway, if a subdomain works that's easy to arrange. :)

Aaah that doesn't leave room for a lot of uploads to the dump at all! Though 100MB files hmm, might drain some server resources for me too. :) Will see what I can do, PM in a minute...

Sure, my hope is on Mike :P

I understand, and how many users are there exactly on NG? Can we check it somewhere? :P

I'm also very happy with what NG offers :)
I think that soon I will also become a Supporter, although I don't know how it should work, since we have zlotys in my country?

The future of Flash and the fat of us all rests on his shoulders! :P

If you go here: https://www.newgrounds.com/rankings/signups

...you'll see the latest sign-ups, and all profiles have a hidden uid field if you check the source code. So for example right now the latest user is user #8,220,926

Unfortunately no way to see how many are active though, it's probably a small fraction.

Nice. :) Do you have a PayPal account though? If so the currency shouldn't be an issue. Or if you pay directly via card (with or without PayPal). Worth noting the currency exchange rate though, and if your card provider takes out a fee for foreign payments, some banks are a bit expensive. I have a couple free ones specifically for foreign currencies, travelling etc. There are international 'banks' like N26 that work great for this. None of the exchange fees some try to add in. Free too.

Well, a lot has already registered :) I understand that NG does not delete accounts?

Small fraction? But I think that's enough to keep going! :P

I have the option to pay with PayPal and no fees as it turned out... because I'm a Supporter now, on a all year!!! Hehehehe Yeahahah!
And I actually have 1GB of space now, so great! Enough for a few animations! Hehehehe.

*fate of us all! Arr...

Yupp. :) Normally they don't, though if there's a username someone really wants and the account with that name has never been used they do make exceptions sometimes. Plus of course certain accounts deleted due to abuse, or if the user wishes it.

Hell yeah! :D Would probably be a bit too crazy here if everyone was active anyway.

Nice! Congrats on joining the real NG elite! :D

I understand, it's fun of them :P

Do you think people are less active because they got bored with creating: animation, games or music or art?

Thank you! Glad to join! :)

Yupp :)

I think most people just sign up but don't really get into the community, but those who do... I don't know. maybe some get disillusioned when they don't initially get a huge fanbase and tons of attention. Though you don't really get that anywhere unless you're either really lucky or really talented. Or find a niche. Most probably aren't creators though. ;)

Don't know if you're that into the history of NG but you should have some iconic exclusives available on your account page now too. ;) Among them the most anticipated sequel ever, that never really made it...

True, it's hard to get interest and fans. This is how it is: P Everyone wants attention, and he doesn't give anyone any attention. XD

It is different :) some are talented and have few fans, others create the same shit over and over again, and people give 4 / 5 XD

Maybe it used to irritate me, and now it makes me laugh :P

Can you say more? But I have a request :) Please write it in the new Poster, which I will add soon :)

For sure, if everybody could just both give and get it'd be a better world!

Too true. XD illwillpress comes to mind hmm... though there's a lure in something you become familiar with too. It's comfortable to get back to the same thing over and over. Maybe it starts feeling nostalgic. Could say it also gets a bit stagnant but...

Nice.

Alright man, speak more then. :)

Exactly! I don't know what happened... Why did people get so lazy.

Cool :)
