Mmm, I say I believe people are inherently good but... maybe I don't really believe that after all. I think most of us are I suppose, but not our leaders. The largest percentage of business owners are supposedly psychopaths, so that probably says something about the potential state of the world/future. And even consider individuals are complicated, it's so easy for us to get divided into fractions over our ideals; get into the most unnecessary conflicts... well that's a strange kind of comfort! XD If you want to leave a legacy though, that lives way past you do...

Even if you have everything you won't feel satisfied. But maybe if you've done everything? Maybe real experience is the cure all...

Actually a bit less optimistic about humankind overall. The site might stick around but will we really be able to keep ourselves in check and not destroy civilization as we know it again? Not as optimistic about that...
For sure. ) There's so much this place allows that no other does, and the amount of great artistry/inspiration in circulation here too. It's pretty incredible!
You mean now, or ideally? Just a lot of Supporters. :) The more users are paying 25 USD a year the more is possible! Maybe hire some additional programmers. Finally add in things like two-factor authentication, album folders the literature portal... there's so much on the backlog but staff's always busy just taking care of the most important things, and administrative duties of course. Even with mods it's crazy to manage a site like this with a staff of just a few people. Hundreds of thousands of submissions that need to work properly, thousands of new comments and posts every day, hundreds of new users every day too... always impressed at how they manage this when I think about it. Just managing my own site, which is just my own content mostly - no user contributions at all, I feel like I could spend my days entirely on that and still not get through it all. Balancing between keeping old content relevant/working and adding new all the time there's just so much work...
Ah yeah I hope they open up the Wiki for users too! It does feature user contributions on a lot of the pages, but definitely needs more. I know they were speaking about it earlier but I guess that's one more of those things that need to be developed too.

Well... I always approach people with a distance, because you never know: P You can never be sure of this, but people have always strived / strive for self-destruction, which we have always had in our genes. It may be cruel, but true... However, our demise will not take place for hundreds of years, we will not live to see it, @Cyberdevil. Do not worry :)
