R2 - Pass of Time (Scene 2 - Zombie Fight)

Welcome everyone!


"Finally a new Poster..." Did you think about it too? Or only I have this feeling? XD However, we made it! After a bit longer... well, it's been 10 days since the last Poster. This action (as in the title) is a challenge for me that requires a lot of work, but I think it's worth it and I'm happy with the results. :P


New update Reduce 2 - Pass of Time - 'Scene 2' is currently 58.7 seconds :) It's new 5.5 seconds, and the whole (so far) fight with Zombies is already underway - 9 seconds :D Of course, this is not the end yet :)


Additionally, I did division of the 'Play' button in 'Scene Selection', - it's now two buttons ("from the beginning" and "fight") so that you can directly play the fight with the Zombie (or repeat it, because action is very fast and you can't always see everything the first time). See for yourself:

However, I'm not entirely sure if this description is correct of these buttons (after hovering the cursor over it). What do you think about it? @Cyberdevil and @Animetion24?


Previously events in 'Scene 2':

  • the camera shows the area - a cliff (depressions),
  • zoom in on Mazurek - breathes heavily, then looks into the abyss, then goes to the others (left),
  • the camera (with Mazurek) moves next to sitting Keni, who looks at Mazurek (he stops next to Keni),
  • the camera pauses (zooms in) on the Zip, who is breathing heavily (dripping sweat), and after a while says irritated: "What the fuck was that?!",
  • the camera returns to the other heroes (the two), Mazurek looks sadly at Zip, then looks at Keni who shrugs and relaxes his neck,
  • Mazurek (his face expresses irritation at Keni's behavior) turns away from Keni and looks down at the ground (he touches his chin with his hand - thoughts), after a while Mazurek says: "Calm down, we need to hide and rethink the next steps...",
  • Keni says (with pity) looking at Mazurek: "You have no idea...",
  • Mazurek looks at him with discontent, then turns (towards Zip) and makes a terrified face, Keni also looks in that direction and reacts similarly,
  • camera moves on seated Zip...
  • ...God-DL Zombie appears behind him,
  • lunges at him (grunts) and flips him to the ground,
  • Zip squints his eyes tightly and groans (from the impact),
  • his impact raises dust around them,
  • after a while, Zip tries to get up (he looks terrified),
  • God-DL Zombie, seeing this, immediately presses him to the ground,
  • Zip freezes his eyes softly, God-DL Zombie roars in anger...


Current events in 'Scene 2':

  • God-DL Zombie then raises Zip's arm and bites him (bites off some skin and meat),
  • Zip screams and throws himself in pain,
  • God-DL Zombie swallows a bite of meat and raises his head a bit as he is interested in Mazurek,
  • he running to save his friend,
  • Mazurek from the bottom takes a swing (with a slide) and hits God-DL Zombie in the face with a hammer,
  • this hit spills monster black blood,
  • God-DL Zombie sharply leans back (makes a grunt),
  • but after a short while he hits Mazurek who was getting ready to the next blow (from above),
  • Mazurek is thrown back and falls on his back...


@ChordC, thank you again for the great sounds that add variety / improve the animation :) Really amazing sounds! Hmm, I actually have a question. Is the sound of Mazurek's groaning needed - how he is hit? In a way, I have the impression that yes...


What do you think about it, @Cyberdevil@Animetion24@ChordC@MariogD@SayMeBott@Mazurek and Rashty92? I updated the .exe file, so feel free to watch and opinion :)

Thanks! Interestingly, sometimes the word "brutal" can be used in such a nice way :P XD

Well, a little grunt like, “uff” would be nice. But if Mazurek has difficulties recording, I think it still seems alright without the grunt.

Btw, great job with the animation, it sure has improved a lot since reduce 2 part 1. Hoping to see some more progress soon ;).

I was not sure (before) if this sound was needed, and Mazurek didn't quite know how to record this sound. I sent Mazurek the Zip sound, I hope it will help :)

Really? Well, maybe so :P Maybe some moments :P But the fight is on the same (good) level :) Come on, give me a moment XD Hehehe, it takes me a while - making a few seconds XD Well, it's possible that the more difficult create moments are behind me :P

It's also thanks to your super-composed sounds! :D

@ChordC, I understand we will not added 'Scary_moment' sounds (like in previous animations - Reduce 2)? Such film sounds that raised the tension? Because you think it's a shoddy solution? :P

Hehe that's true, definitely meant it in a positive way! XD Same with a lot of violent words come to think of it. Savage, gnarly, crazy, insane, hardcore... depending on context it seems a lot of things that were initially not good things have somehow become that way!

Wonder if it's in part because most of us these days are getting somewhat distanced from real war/conflict...

Cool, I knew :P Yeah, this unfortunate context... XD I have 'Déjà vu' :P

Okay, no one has real violence in mind, but expects a lot in games and movies :P

IMO - Mazurek's sound will be 'nice to have'. It seems that Mazurek was hit badly. He flew terribly long, so probably some sound will be logic.

@Mazurek, thanks for the sounds! (Even if you will never read this XD). Yes, we have it! Cool and matching sounds :D

@Cyberdevil Yeah! @Mejson We want blood, more blood! :D

Ohhhh, hehehehehe :P I don't recognize you @SayMeBott :P I'm kidding, I know you like :) Cool, violence and blood always on the spot! xD

Definitely grisly. Can only imagine what it would be like if the wound was in a far more vital area.

If you still need titles for each part of the scene, I'd say "Beginning of Scene" and "Sudden Ambush". This way, more is described about what they're about to see (again).

@Mejson use the scary sounds wisely, it will sound annoying if you use them too much ;)

Aha XD And I thought I was keeping a style XD OK, so it's better not to use them at all :P I think so :)

PS. Do you all want me to update the EXE with the newer 'Mazurek's moans' or would you rather wait to the next week? XD

I agree with @ChordC. We used 'scary_sound' because we did not have better sounds. But now we should use it 'wisely'.

I'm not going to use 'scary_sound' anymore because the new, great sounds are naturally scary / suspenseful (if we're talking about a bloody scene).

@mejson I can wait till next week, you will have more time on the project.

Ok, so I have to continue creating animation because I had a break day :)

Hey brother (@MariogD), how are you?

Well... I could give a new 'Update' now, but I'd like to end the action with Zombie. I'd like the name of the new update to be "R2 - Pass of Time (Scene 2 - Finish Him!)" So I'd like to finish this animation stage. :)

I suspect that I always update between 7-10 days, so I still have some time :P So maybe 3-4 days :) Maybe sooner.
