Comments

Hmmm, @Animetion24 and @Cyberdevil, I mean, can you create a comment like that, please?

Personally, I’m glad that I can finally watch your animation from my phone ;), even though it’s missing some parts here and there.

If you want to put links on your video, at the very least, you can put them on the movie description in my opinion. If somehow you are able to put links in the movie somehow, I’m interested in knowing how you can do it.

I'm glad you're happy! :D Yes, it is finally possible, it took me a while, but at least I already know how to convert each animation to 3 different resolutions.

Missing? What do you mean? :P Extras, Scene Selection etc.?

I wanted to say if the same as the original Reduce 2 - Part I (SWF) - are there links in the comment? Links do not work in the video - yet...

The question is whether I should...

This is pretty cool. :) Was thinking the highest quality version would take way more space too, wonder what codec they're using now, seems pretty efficient... did you know that 1080p here is actually higher quality than 1080p on YT too? They did a comparison a while back, the compression algorithm (at least then) was both a lot more powerful and a lot less strict on NG. So a little higher filesize but also a lot more processing on actually compressing it was much as possible even whilst retaining that quality.

The one thing I note above is that maybe short description doesn't need to repeat the title itself?

Would be great if @Animetion24 had some time to write something up though, I'm pretty swamped right now, can check back a bit later though otherwise.

Thanks! It is efficient for sure because people on NG do it with the heart! :P Really? That's good! I consider YouTube to be total crap! It is a breeding ground for vanity and pride :) Hehehe. People record movies while they play games... and others watch it with bated breath... it's at least weird :P Are they creators? Shit... Eeeeeee, I think I left the topic :D Bravo NG! He rocks! YouTube shit! :D

Well, 'short description' I would like it to be different :)

@Animetion24, he must have come up with something great :P I'll check it out soon :)

I like this so much, it is very convenient. I regret missing menu character, but still think it is big step forward.

Cool :) I'm happy and cry (in my soul). Well... my dear brother, I know that these accessories were great, but it was impossible to keep them... Because how? It would automatically show e.g. characters? I think it would disturb the viewer because he was counting on animation.

Hey again, everyone!

This sounds really good for myself too.

Commentary, huh? Let's see...

Project Info:
- Icon: Looks like a classic way to establish what filetype the viewer is about to click on. I think the only change I'd make is to reverse the black background and white text; the black background is matching the Newgrounds UI a little too much and we don't want to give any more reason for unsuspecting viewers to miss the corner disclaimer.
- Title: In parentheses, perhaps "(On .MP4)" rather than "(.mp4 Format)"? It could be left alone, but I think the emphasis on the filetype as opposed to any other words would give the viewer a better idea of what they're getting into.
- Short Description: "Relive part 2.1 of the super horror survival adventure - on .MP4!" (if that's too long, I'd reckon "super... adventure" can be taken out. Then if still too long, "Relive pt. 2.1 of this survival horror on MP4!"

-Acknowledging the filetype:
"As the title of this movie indicates, this version of Reduce 2 - Part 1 is running on .MP4 rather than the previous .SWF format of the previous projects! The change stems from how it has become frustratingly difficult to continue watching in the latter type, and we would like to ensure a comfortable viewing experience for all on this series."

-Previously on Reduce:
"When we last left off, our heroes were forcibly thrown into their quest for survival - awakening in a land where grass made forests and garden insects appeared as fearsome beasts. Regathering their bearings, Mejson and his company trek the biome in order to understand their new surroundings better, in search of an escape. But things will not be easy as every inch of this place harbors untold dangers. And while it is frightful to accept, not everyone is going to make it."

-On this Part of Reduce:
"On Reduce 2 Part I, our Heroes have reunited with other known survivors. Bolstering their numbers, Mejson hopes to continue exploring the land and keep living in his late friends' names. However, they are not the only ones growing in strength in this unknown area...

How much tragedy can befall a person before they just up and snap?"

-Resolution:
"The project is converted for three different qualities, just like how it was in .SWF: 360p, 720p, and 1080p. We recommend 720p for all viewers in order to maintain a proper animation speed coupled with satisfying visual fidelity."

-Thanks:
"We are very grateful for your viewership. We hope you will stick around for the ride as we continue through these tumultuous worlds - the one these characters live in, and our own."

-Links:
That can be up to you, Mejson. I personally don't think it necessary if returning viewers take a look at it, since I reckon most would recognize the familiar numbering. As for new coming viewers, we would want them to be watching this version anyways.

Let me know what you think of each, @Mejson, @ChordC, @MariogD, and @Cyberdevil!

Hello Friend,

Project Info:
- Icon: I inverted the colors but it turned out it's look bad so I gave more big text and a corner,

- Title: After analyzing all the comments, I came to the conclusion that the best is ".mp4 version",

- Short Description: Again, I analyzed and chose: "Relive pt. 2.1 of this survival horror in .mp4 version!".

- Acknowledging the filetype:
"As the title of this movie indicates, this version of 'Reduce 2 - Part I' is running in .mp4 rather than the previous .swf format of the previous projects! The change stems from how it has become frustratingly difficult to continue watching in the latter type, and we would like to ensure a comfortable viewing experience for all on this series."

- Previously on Reduce:
<Exactly like the original>

- On this Part of Reduce:
"On 'Reduce 2 Part I', our Heroes have reunited with other known survivors. Bolstering their numbers, Mejson hopes to continue exploring the land and keep living in his late friends' names. However, they are not the only ones growing in strength in this unknown area... How much tragedy can befall a person before they just up and snap?"

-Resolution <I gave it as the second paragraph>:
"The project is converted for three different qualities, just like how it was in .swf: 360p, 720p, and 1080p. We recommend 720p for all viewers in order to maintain a proper animation speed coupled with satisfying visual fidelity."

-Thanks:
<Exactly like the original>

Thank you for such a quick response and beautiful comment / information!

@Animetion24 great wording as always, thank you, glad you had a moment. :) Wouldn't have been nearly as creatively varied.

Technically, I think it'd be 'in .mp4' rather than on, though? You do say on DVD, but that's a material item, do you really use the same wording with formats? On .exe? On a .zip file? Just sounds a bit strange to me, maybe I'm wrong though.

Personally I think I'd have gone with '.mp4 version' instead for the first instance. As it's an alternative more so than a replacement, not just an .mp4 export but one that should deserve to be standalone too (otherwise all submissions can be uploaded as both mp4/swf at the same time, and the user's free to toggle, mp4 is usually the default if they haven't selected anything else). Hopefully nobody comments on how it'd have been better to just have both files for the same ID, with that in mind it seems good to highlight how it's 'something new'.

Short description: would personally change the On .MP4 bit again here. ;) 'in .mp4 format'?

Otherwise this sounds great IMO. Reading a little quickly but I can't spot any other inconsistencies/typos/such.

Edited and corrected as it should be (I hope so) - as can be seen in the comment above.

Thanks for the proofreading!

@Animetion24 All the commentary seems great :), appreciate your effort ;).

What do you think? @Mejson

I think it's great!

@Cyberdevil @Animation I would personally go with, 'in .MP4', because people would instantly notice that and understand that the video is in .mp4 format.

I chose: '.mp4 version'.
I hope no one was offended...

@Mejson Yeah, no extras, scene selection, etc. At least we still can watch the main content.

Yeah, put some links on the commentary, why not? :)

Well, that's exactly what we meant :P
I added as now.

@Cyberdevil, @Animetion24, @ChordC, @MariogD, @SayMeBott, can you look at the end result when Publishing? As usual? 11:00 AM EDT?

Me and my brother @MariogD agreed that it is best to do Publishing on Monday (11:00 AM EDT). :P

@ChordC, I added you to the project (.mp4) - Confirm participation. :) Forgive me, but somehow it flew out of my head before :/

@Mejson shame on you!

You "sit" too much in Warsaw and you became mean, unruly brother :0

@Mejson wait a second it is not me that forgot about our star @ChordC. So again shame on you!

Okay... you're busy most of the time and slacking off! Shame on yourself! xD

Sounds good. :) I'll be at work at the time but if it's not too busy then sure thing, otherwise soon as I get off, a couple hours later.

With the short description maybe version sounds a bit odd with the word order, Maybe:

Relive pt. 2.1 of this survival horror in .mp4 form!
Relive pt. 2.1 of this survival horror in .mp4 format!
Relive pt. 2.1 of this survival horror with this .mp4 version! ('the' instead of 'this' seems to make it seem like it's already known, could add in something like 'this new/enhanced/improved' too)
Relive this survival horror classic with the .mp4 version of pt. 2.1!

Personally I like the first. Anyway small detail but maybe worth mentioning.

Thanks, I understand :) Hmmmmm, then I choose: Pikachuuuuuuuu! XD Eeeeee means: "Relive pt. 2.1 of this survival horror in .mp4 format!"

Oh apart from that: sounds/looks great!

Thanks!

@MariogD @Mejson
“Easy Morons!” - Mariogd

I mean, my contribution is merely making the play button sound lol XD, the songs already sound good as it is in my opinion. But if you want to use my existing songs for Reduce 2 Part 1, it is also possible.

A quick side note, I cannot change the quality of the movie from my phone, is it just me? Because the animation is quite laggy on my phone.

Do you see brother? You are a moron XD Hehehehehe, you started yourself :P

I know, but if I had to change songs in Reduce 2 - Part I, it would be right to improve the whole animation of XD Hehehe...

Ok, I checked and it's true. It appears to be the 1080p version which is why you are slow to run. @Cyberdevil, shouldn't you report this bug to NG support? Because why in the phone should be different than on the computer?

@ChordC, thanks for vigilance! :)

@Mejson I was referring one of the scenes in reduce 2 part 2 lol XD, where Mejson and delsin are arguing, then Mariogd said, “Easy Morons!” (- Mariogd) means that the dialogue was said by Mariogd, so technically, I was referring to you both :P

No worries gentlemen, no offense, just do what needs to be done ;)

I know, but I wanted to tease brother XD Hehehehe...

Actually, Mejson and Keni (Delsin is good and respects Mejson).

I had a dream once... a beautiful... dream. I dreamed that 'Reduce 1' was created "anew" - processed and refreshed. Such a Remake... I'm ashamed of my "ears" when I think about 'Reduce 1'... but well, that's how we were creating then and this is history... this is the progress that gets better with time, and the previous projects are worse :P

@Mejson Alright, thank you for the confirmation. I hope this thing can be resolved soon.

Cool, but I would not count on a quick fix because the technical team corrects / cares about a lot of things and there are many errors every day, and they fix critical ones that make it impossible to use this portal...

@Mejson I mean, we all gotta start somewhere, if you listen to my first song, you’ll be laughing so hard XD. I recreated the random ridiculous songs that I made back then and uploaded it here on Newgrounds so that it will stay on the internet for a loonnggg time. For me, the songs were very memorable. Just check out The Solo V2 that I uploaded here and you’ll see what I mean :P.

Hmm you know, someday, you should create sifvssa2c #5 someday in the future. It will be a huge throwback for your past fans, such as myself ;)

It's true, everyone starts with poor creativity to develop and then create this amazing one :) Hmmm, in my free time I'll listen :P Will stay on the Internet forever because NG is not subject to any corruption or politics, so it will always existed... : )

Wel... I stopped creating SiFvSa2C#5 because it started to bore me... nothing interesting / fantastic happened there. I don't know, I don't want to promise because I like to keep my word...

I'm grateful that you are here with us :D
